Default LSX into a 93 Silverado??

I have been thinking about a motor swap since my Pace Truck has 167,xxx miles on it, I have only found one thread about putting a LS? into a truck. What I am looking for is any kind of info on the swap as to tpis for making it easier, hooking up Autometer gauges to the factory plugs and anything else that might help.

motor mounts are your major issue. its a tough swap, but it can be done. several people have done them. i had a 98 Silverado with a LS1/t56 a couple years ago. also check out www.ls1truck.com or www.fullsizechevy.com

I disagree.. as swaps go, this one is not hard. Putting a T-56 in however will complicate things.... Stick with an automatic and you will have fewer problems. Getting the engine in place is the easiest part of this conversion to do. You need to be comfortable with reading wiring diagrams and modifying electrical circuits. It is not plug and play, you will need to identify and splice some stuff. Ditto on the fuel system. The ls1truck.com web site is a good place to start your research.... Remeber however that most swap issues are independent of platform... everyone must do mounting, electrical, and fuel system work, so information in this forum will help you alot regardless of whether the poster has an El Camino or a Mazda.... Once you have specific questions, ask away, here or there and you will get alot of knowledable help.
