Default Eliminating smog stuff?

I installed an LS1 into a 61 Impala. I am eliminating the smog stuff. Do they make block off plates for the exhaust and how much of this stuff can I remove?

You should be able to remove all of the ERG and Air Equipement and flash the PCM code out.

They do make block off plate for the egr and air, check with some of the sponser (S&P, etc) or even eBay...
I had my exhaust manifold just welded shut after cutting off the EGR and stuff (99 mainfold).. GM even makes a plug for the intake EGR port.

I think you'd be best off with a set of "race" headers which
will eliminate all the smog stuff plus let the motor breathe
as it should.
