Best pass was a 12.44 @ only 106 1.70 60ft i dont know why mph is so low, i need some more tuning, had a hesitation in the carb and need to figure out how to make the tires hook better.

I sure hope to knock at least a couple tenths off still if i can do it before it gets hot. I have 2 1/2 exhaust with flowmasters also. Need new exhaust might try open headers also. I was shift about 5500 in first and 5800 in 2nd so there might be some et with higher shift points.

83 malibu wagon 2000 ls1, victor jr 750 vac, 1 3/4 long tubes, 3.90 gears, mt drag radials. It would probably run better with a rpm intake but i might get some juice on this thing someday. Edge 3600 converter

Are you shifting into second gear during the burnout? those radials like the wheel speed to get good and hot!

Yes i do, i can feel them start to grab and then i let off, my girlfriend said they didnt smoke that much, i dont have side mirrow or rear view so i cant see crap., It might not 60 foot real good becasue i have a slight hestation when i floor it, i found a vacume leak when i am giving it gas so maybe that will help.

Try raising your shift point up to around 6000-6200rpm. You are really leaving a lot on the table by shifting it like a truck.

And you do want a 3-5 second very smokey burnout on those radials. Lots of wheel speed to during the burnout.

Congrats on running 12's in the grocery getter, I have always loved those Malibu Wagons myself. With a little practice you will be hitting 12.0's or even quicker.
