Sorry guys but I think AWD would be near impossible with a V8 as I dont think you'd find a transaxle that would work.... Porsche wont... in a Porsche the engine is behind the trans, with the engine in front of the trans the output shaft is heading the wrong way.

On top of that you'd have to start from scratch with the chassis.... it would be all too hard.... and as I said, you'd be losing out on loads of sideways fun.

i agree crafty, but it would still be cool if some "could" do it.

also i think quafie might have a transmition that could do it. it would mena loosing some cabin space but they ran a 4WD GT car. it did really well over here, esp in the bad weather we get.

also the new R8 uses the same layout as the Ultima and has 4WD. this would be a crap choice for a box though! dont think they could take all the torque of the V8, let alone the traction! lol

anyway back to topic, has Jeff dynoed the LS7 yet?????

Chris.

My dream car is a GTR with a with a C6R motor. If I remember right, 64% of the weight is in the back so that helps with straight line traction. That car would be insane with even half the hp the TT LS7 is making. Driving that thing would give me perma-grin for months. Is it really only $42k for everthing besides engine and transmission? Also, how long does it really take to assemble? I eventually want to build one but there is not much info about them and I cannot to blow that kind of money on a bad decision. Honestly, I can't afford it right now at all, but soon...
