I'm in College Station, and finishing up a FD RX7 ls1 / t56 swap for someone. My daily driver is a 3rd gen camaro with a ls1 / t56 swap, and i had an el camino with an ls1 swap. LS1's make everything go better.

I would love to see you guys finish up an LS1 S2000, now that would be a first and it would be very cool, thats such a nimble chassis and all it needs off the showroom floor is 2 times its stock power

Not to Hijack, but what happened to the magnacharger?
Also so you guys at the Chicago drift at Soldier Field a few years ago, kick *** car, and nice engine work.
All said and done, we are looking at having to buy a new diff (300zx center section fabbed), custom headers, mounts, driveshaft, electronics.... the list goes on.
A big concern at this point is getting it to fit both width and length. The length comes into play due to a support beam which the water pump drive would hit. It may be solvable with an electric WP, but either way we might need to cut that rail and re-weld it farther forward. The other problem (and probably the largest concern) is the rear edges of the engine bay which someone pointed out earlier. To get the #7&8 primaries to clear might take some cutting and welding because the engine bay narrows towards the firewall. That is a load bearing structure and is part of the chassis, so caution needs to be taken when fabbing that up (unless we can get some headers to fit, which is unlikely).
The tranny (shifter mainly) is almost a perfect fit from the looks of things, but we wont know for sure until we get the engine out.
No clue if the tranny will fit in the tunnel, but I imagine it should.
Another concern is the power steering. S2000s have an electronic power steering system that runs off of the speed sensor which I assume is on the output shaft of the tranny. That may be another big hangup.
As far as gauges go, I would highly doubt that stock will work, so we might just fab up some stand alone.
Any general information that goes with motor conversions would be greatly appreciated. I am very adept with LS1s, but havent done a conversion.
More than likely, we will put a mid size cam in it and shoot for ~350-370 wheel on stock heads which shouldnt be a problem at all.
^Will handle a turbo LSx beast.
Now get going I want to see this project done. I love the looks of the s2000.
Those 2 videos belong in the same bin--FAKE.
I hope he proves me wrong, but as of now, IMO there's no way he'll go past putting a K&N and exhaust on his S2K.
