header help
header help i tried the search, but it doesnt work and i dug through as many sticky pages as i could bear. i am looking at putting an ls1 into a 65 el camino and i am wondering if there are headers that will work for this application?

This a a challenge for us. Check Patriot and Hedman, Hooker also has some for a Camaro. I still have not found any for my Chevy II but am still looking. You may also be able to use the new Z06 manifolds that flow really well.

In comparing how the LS1 headers will fit.. If they built anything like a sbc headers (as far as fitting and clearance).. They will be close, but most likely hang a bit low for a Camaro.
If you look at some of the manufactors catalogs for headers (ie.hooker) or use Summitracing, then use the Application tab for some Hooker SBC headers (like #2451), you will find many year/models that they can be used on for the same listing. For a 1st gen camaro, 67-69 Nova and simular year Chevelles. They sometime list the same part number. So, if you go by that reasoning.. with a little help (Hammer ?), it should fit. But this is only taking a guess with that reasoning. Try and find someone who has tried those Chevelle ones on a camaro.
