From what your saying everyone should be driving around with a 2 speed powerglide! Ya know, so that you can have grunt down at 3k, without shifting.
I promise not to fall into this trap, I promise not to fall into this trap, I promise not to fall into this trap.

I think the LS1 is better than the 2JZ!
No, the 2JZ is better than the LS1!
Sure wish someone would start a thread so we could debate this issue!
What a great idea!
EDIT
Let's try something else:

the arguement here isnt which is best motor for motor, but which is best for his setup. i have yet to see a 2jz anything perform as well as a 2jz in a supra (other than Duy's monster drag 240 and a very small amount of drift cars)

Glad somebody could resist. I guess I'll have to start editting "2JZ" out of my opinion posts since they get all ruffled about it.
I left them some fuel in the other thread so they'll be happy.
Sorry for the good luck with the swap and keep us updated!

dude this thread was not started to see who can go fasted on stock bottom.... lets see him drive that home ...or how about those lil hickops that thing had... i started this so i can put a bad *** ls1 motor in a supra. so keep it on your side.....ps he couldnt aford a bottom after spending 10g's on a single turbo. and i think an ls series motor with 35 pounds and a good clutch could pop 9's but "WONT DRIVE HOME" becuase its internals would be hurt.

MR toyotasupra. this thread is no longer a pissing match between lsx and 2jz. you need to take it to the other thread. this thread is for a simple swap. look on an thread that deals with lsx put into rx7s do you see them getting butt hurt like you 2jz boys are...thanks superlsx

Have you decided on weather you will run the t56 and mod the tunnel, or run a tko tranny like v8suprabuilder did.
edit--- also are you going to run the f-body pan and place the sump behind the steering?

well i was told that a viper spec t56 is smaller than the gm version. so all i would have to do is swap bellhousings. i will run a milodon pan it is only 5.5 deep and still a 7 quart.

thanks those are awsome specs. but i really need heights and widths. becuase that pupra's tunnel is small. i'll keep looking but post if you find anything.
