As for the dream conversions...
Ariel Atom with one of those little 2.6L V8s thats Twin Turbo
240Z with RB26
Delorean with a hover conversion and flux capasitor!!! In reality though; a DeLorean with a TPE-331-1 turbine engine with either an electric or hydralic propultion system. I've kicked around the idea and would have probably done it already but info on these cars are scarce and I don't want to have to buy one, tear it apart just to find out that there isn't enough room...

.How about a nice 427 SB Ford with some 225cc AFR heads in my 03 mach 1 or better yet a cobra kit car or my favorite of all a 426 hemi in my 1988 Aries K or something a little different a 4.0 I6 from a jeep stroked and bored to a 4.7 with some head work and a single turbo.

The only reason I said not LSx is because thats too easy. It would be cool to put an LSx into anything, but there are other really cool motors out there.

Even though you said no LSX's, my dream swap would be a '78 Bandit Trans Am with an LS7 and a T56. And full bolt ons of course

How about a wild 455 ci LS2 based stroker paired with a TH400. In a 1984-1988 rcsb 2wd Toyota pickup(tiny little lightweight truck). I'd keep it looking stock(no tubs, no cage, etc) and it would make an awesome sleeper. I've always had a soft spot for these trucks, first vechile I ever drove was my dad's tan 1985 2wd, 5 speed, carbed 22r, xtra cab, short box truck. They got the lines dead right with that truck, its a very clean, proportional, and minimalist looking design.
