LS1 in a first gen mustang, has it been done? I just picked up a new project car tonight, and am kicking around ideas. Has anyone swapped an LS1 into a first gen Mustang yet?

most use 351 headers for a fox, this shouldnt be any different should it? Im sure you can get some cheap ones from Autozone to try and hack the flange and go for it... mounts and oil pan shouldnt be too difficult would they?

Engine bay on the unit body Ford may give you fits. You may have to do a little work with the shock towers. It would be a cool way to irritate some FORD guys....

Nice car to put it in to.. one of the guys here at work has a 67 that he drives every day.
People are putting LS1's in everything now adays..
I am guilty myself.. not necessarily a LS1, but still a LSX Engine in my Z..
