I love sleepers. JB

i have seen some REALLY fast cars running on 275/60's. if someone cant hook on that or a 28x10.5 slick, they need to spend some cash on suspension parts.

Also, why buy an M3 when you could just replace the suspension with coilovers?
You are going to ditch the motor anyways, why not save money on the initial investment?

Oh and they made 4 door M3's from 96-99.
Too bad they dont make 4dr e46 m3's, I actually like looking at them.

Have you ever seen the M3 (S54) powered E46 wagon that Rogue built a while back. Now that is a sick ride. Probably not worth the expense of building one though, I'd prefer to put an LS1 in that wagon and call it a day.

I'd love to have above 25mpg on the highway. My friends gets 30 with his rx7. I like the 79 malibu body style as well as every year caprice, but I'm sure they weigh to much. thanks

Around 3000lbs (and the factory 4 cylinder was heavy!), typically 3.73 or 4.10 geared (with G80 locker on the 9 series), factory rack and pinion, 4 wheel disk brakes, ABS, and safe... well the slogan is Volvo: For Life. 75 cubic feet of cargo space in the wagons! Older 700 series will be lighter (manual seats, sunroof, etc) and were available with a manual transmission; newer 900s will be heavier with more electronics. '95 and up have independent rear suspension.
Cons: Dana 30 rearend may break over 400hp, you'll have to have someone build a better rearend with the right mounts. Weak aftermarket support compared to big three cars.
I'm trying the family truckster / hot rod experiment with my 290rwhp LT1 / T56 740 wagon. A few learning experiences so far but it's a success (and FUN!).
The LS1 into a 780 page is down right now, so check out Google's cache. Also look at http://www.brickboard.com/V8/. Turbobricks is a good Volvo site. There are aftermarket upgrades for the suspension, for example Kaplhenke.
And we can't leave out the Godcar of Volvo V8 Swaps... the Twin Turbo Volvette

No family truckster here. I'm 25 years old and single. All I have is a GF and a dog. I just like the room of a 4 door. Something the size of a Maxima (both inside and out). The volvo sleeper would definately fool most. I'm just not to into them.

Yeah I know Volvo's aren't the coolest cars to be seen in, STOCK. When you get a ride in a tuned one though, your perception changes dramatically, trust me. Just visit the Turbobricks forum.
