Started my 84GT to LS1 swap Here are some pics of the mock-up motor in the car. The k-member I am using mounts the rack about an inch lower than most, so I was able to drop the motor down. I almost went too far back with the motor...the passenger head is mm's away from the fire wall.
I had some old Winsdor 351 1 7/8" headers, so I decided to see if they fit. They do, but they hung too low. I hacked them up tonight, to use bits and pieces to make my own.
The motor is going to be a 408, 11.5:1, big hyd cam, ET245's, super victor, big plate system and BS3. This car, while looking like a piece of ****, has some really nice parts. All wolfe chassis, Aerospace brakes all around, built 8.8.
When I get the headers done, I'll put some pics up.
