Actually it was a powdercoated e30 subframe. The MZ3 subframe is about 1/2" different in width than the e30 subframe so your subframe is the one you want to use. The reinforced trailing arms, bigger 1/2 shafts, forged stub axles, and M3 brakes are the big bonuses of the MZ3 parts. (BTW, the subframe only added about $75-$100 to the overall value of the parts)

Yes, the MZ3 uses the same brakes from the e36 M3. They are about 12.1" on all 4 corners and vented. These would be a very good braking package on the light e30, but I really think they could end up being a budget breaker. The 318ti or regular Z3 stuff should work fine for you. If you are planning on tracking it, it might be worth the additional $$ for the MZ3 stuff.

I'll try and find this stuff. Bigger brakes are always better

The MZ3 axles, hub/bearings and diff and trailing arms are bigger and stronger and are what you need. The first time you dump the clutch with the LS1, the 318 stuff will grenade.... You'll probably have to re-enforce the sub-frame mounts also.

It's a 325e..... But it's all probably the same 318 to 325 yada yada yada. The diff I have for it was from a 325is and I'm putting it in there regardless. I'll get a better one when it fails.
