If you un-plug or cut out the LT1 Wires, it is probably not getting any signal, and saying it's full all the time.

guess i better look up the wiring again...

What you might have to do is figure out which wire is the Level Signal Wire, and get that directly to the Gauge. It might work, it might not. If you still have the LT1 Wires there, see if you can trace it.
I am trying to get mine finished up.. make it one hell of a sleeper..

I just found the wires and read the resistance between them...they read that the level is at around 200ish ohms....so that would lead me to believe the the range would be about 90-270 ish? maybe? the gauge i have is the autometer carbon fiber 0-90 and it maxxed out the gauge....
i think if i rig a resistor in parallel with the 2 wires i would get the right signal...i'll look more into it...

The LT1 fuel gauge won't work with the LS1 sending unit. The LT1 uses a 0-90 ohm resistance and the LS1 uses something like 100-240 ohm resistance. It's the reason I'm retaining the LT1 fuel tank in my conversion.

Had i known this when i did my swap...i would have retained the LT1 tank as well...lol! oh well! guess i'll just have to get a different autometer gauge then...it's all good!
