Get the **** outta here...
No K20 or K24 piece of **** Honda engine is going to make more power than an LS1. The engine swap for a K20 alone is $6K bare bones, by the time you add the "turbo kit" you're no farther ahead, and the car would be slower and sound like **** anyway.

It doesn't have to make more power than an LS1 when its as light as it is. Hell I had a 10sec CRX that was all motor, strap on a "turbo kit" and I believe it would have been a good bit faster. Only thing is I wouldn't have been able to put it to the pavement so it wasn't worth it. Anything can be made fast and some respect should go out there to an import guy that can build his car the correct way and have it beat on domestics. I wouldn't feel bad if one shut me down on the street or the strip as we're already fast they are playing catchup and that earns my respect as long as they're not total dbags.
A local kid who claims to run 10's has 30K in the motor of his Civic.

Civette I'm old school and I thank that is a master piece you have created. When I ware out my 2005 HX civic that currently gets 40 mpg + I might have to see if I'm up to such a challenge. It has been hard enough fitting it in my 1965 land yacht. I must say I thought it would be a little quicker with the weight advantage. Was traction handicapping you? Any of these folks bad mouthing it are just envious they don’t have your fabrication skills. I’m very impressed.
