Default Brake booster blockoff?

Quick question, search didn't answer:

Anyone have a solution or readily available part number to block off the power brake booster hole on the back of the intake manifold?

Just curious. I'm sure I could rig something up to block it off by shaving the bung off the original and taping over the hole, but I'd prefer something not so ghetto.

TIA

Like cover the entire thing, no MAP? Or just the brake port? Can't you just get a vacuum cap that size?

Would the plug GM uses on the hydroboosted (2500HD and such) trucks with LQ4's fit an LS1/2/6/7 intake?

I suppose that could work.

stealth71 - i would like to simply plug the port for the booster vacuum line. it's like a half inch hose though, so i think vacuum caps are out of the question.

GMs solution to that is nothing more then a vacuum cap... you can get one that size at any good autoparts store.

I'd recommend getting one from GM. It may just be my luck, but vacuum caps from part stores alway dry rot within a year...

I decided to switch to hydroboost after installing my engine. I rigged it until the next time the engine is out... trimmed back the hose some, and shoved a rubber stopper in it. Lowes has rubber stoppers in the same hardware section (in the drawers) as grade 8 bolts.

Check GM dealer. I think its like $.98 for the plug for hydraboosted intakes. Mine had one but I pulled it and bought the fitting for hooking up the brake booster hose, again, like $.80.I'll look for it and measure it . When you get the chance, measure the hole size you need to fill.

Ok, will do.

If anyone has the part #, it's probably cheaper from the dealer than to run all over town and find something. Part # would be superb.
