Default LS7 is alive

I finally got to the point where I could fire my LS7 about a week and a half ago. Now I just need to finish up some odds and ends and it goes to media blasting and paint next month.

Here's a video of it starting up.

And some detail shots of the motor with the accessory drive, carbon fiber valve covers, Kooks headers, etc.

That car is great to look at even without the sheet metal on!! I'm feeling the MAF sensor, how much of a shot are you planning on going with?

That is very clean. BTW, I see you have your heater hoses blocked off. If you don't ever plan to run a heater you can pull those barb fittings out out of the water pump housing with pliers and put some freeze plugs in there to block them off a bit more cleanly.

Thanks. I have the water pump fittings blocked off so I could start it. When I pull the motor back out when it goes to paint, I'll be removing the nipples and tapping the pump for 1/2 NPT so I can run AN fittings/hose for the heater core.

Thanks.

The T-stat housing and front accessory drive are both from Synister Products. VERY high quality stuff, I couldn't be happier with the setup.

The paint is really old and has issues. The last paint job was in '91 when it was restored, so it was the perfect victim for my project. Solid but needed freshening.

Yep, it's an E38 and harness from Speartech.

Thanks. It's taken a long time and hundreds of side jobs to get to this point, but I feel like I'm over the hump now.
