Complex wiring questions
Ok guys, I'm finishing up my stand alone conversion. I am configuring a 03 LQ4/80E truck harness to 03 van config (eliminating ETC) I have 2 questions:
1) On the truck schematic it says pin 15 of C2 is "charge indicator control", running to pin c of the alternator. On the van schematic the wires are ran to the same terminals except it is labeled "Gen turn on signal" are these the same functions in the PCM?
2) The MAF seems to be pinned opposite amongst the two vehicles. The pins are the same in the PCM however the pins in the MAF are backwards:
Truck:
A IAT low ref
B IAT signal
C GND
D +12v
E MAF sig
Van:
A MAF sig
B +12v
C GND
D IAT sig
E IAT low ref
is this an issue i need to address or a mix up in diagrams?

I currently cannot get to my MAF, if you can cross by vehicle, the engine is from a 03 1500HD 2wd LQ4/80E. The other schematic i've been using is from a 03 express van 2500 6.0/80E. I am using schematics from GM Techline so i'm assuming its not a misprint.
I looked at diagrams for 2000-2005 trucks, all have the same MAF pinout as above. I looked at vans from 03-05 they are the same as above also. Maybe a different part? Isnt the truck MAF/IAT bigger? (mm) It wont be a problem for me to swap the wires around and make it work, just want to verify b4 i do it. Unless the van program will react different to a different MAF...Who knows!!! lol Thanks guys.
**UPDATE: GM parts direct shows P/N 25318411 85mm MAF applicable for both vehicles. Pace Performance has this on their site:
2001-2007 Corvette
2005 Bonneville with Northstar
2005-2006 GTO
2001-2003 Aurora with Northstar
2001-2006 Chevy & GMC truck with 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L engines
2003-2006 Hummer H2

i'm working on the same thing. although i can't answer your question is there anyway you could post a copy of the 2003 van wiring harness?
i have a harness from a van and haven't been able to find a schematic for it. thanks
