Heater install question I have a newly installed 2004 LQ4 installed in my truck. The problem I just noticed while putting the heater back in is that the heater needs a vacuum pump to operate the doors. On my old TBI engine there was a place on the intake manifold to get vacuum.
Is there some place on my 2004 intake in which I could install this vacuum line? My heater is from a 1980s truck.

You can either T into the vacuum line that goes to the power brake booster, or there should be a vacuum fitting on the passenger side of the manifold about 2/3 of the way to the back. That one is probably still capped off and the cap will need to be broken off.
