obd2 diagnostic connector?
obd2 diagnostic connector? hey guys. im trying to wrap up the wiring for my swap, (lt1, i know, its not an lsx) and i just realized that the harness was cut at the firewall and i do not have the diagnostic connector. im wondering if i can get a connector from another car or a new connector and splice it in? really im not sure what the connector looks like wire-wise and if it is wired in with the engine harness itself or a separate harness or what. any input on this is appreciated. thanks guys

You should be able to find the connector on a lot of cars, however I`m not really sure which connector you need.
Depending on what year the LT1 is it may be OBD1 or OBD2. I don`t remember what year is the cutoff (I think anything that was 96 or newer was OBD2).
All OBD2 GM cars use the same connector.

its obd2 (1996). so any year from 96 on has the same connector? cool. do you know if there is some kind of resistor wired in to it? i vaguely remember reading something like that somehwere? thanks man!
