6L80E Swap
Go Richard Petty! Even sleeper cars should be a little smooth. Then again some people I am sure do not car for my hummer look a like conversion so it's all good.
Go Richard Petty!
either way, i cant wait to see some 6l80e's behind some gen 4 motors...do you have a harness to fit it in a fbody?
All of the Escalades and Denalis use the 6L80 with the 6.2.
I'm sorry I misread the question. I think you are right that it is the 6L80 is the Escalade/Denali and Sierra Denali.
I LOVE those late year mid size GM's rear drives...

What about parasitic loss? I'm not sure if that's a real valid question. Sorry if it's not.
Sorry for the newb questions, I've only owned one auto and that was my first car -- a TH350 behind a SBC 383. Owned nothing but 4, 5, and 6-speeds ever since. However, I'm just going to have to admit, there's just seemingly no advantage at all to rowing your own gears over these new A6's to me. Fun... fun only goes so far. It's almost like I'd be stupid to get a new Camaro with an M6...
Is that Yukon running yet? What engine is it behind? Any problems? Details on it please!

I think this is the solution that everyone has been searching for!
The cost seems initially high, but when you consider it also comes with the right computer, an ETC pedal assembly, computer programmed correctly, every thing labeled and ready to plug in, this is a bargain.
With a Bare 58X relector engine/6L80/90E transmission and this harness, you are ready to go.
Now to decide what to put on in.......

Here's an overview of what we offer:
This package was specifically developed for the new LS2/LS7 crate engines with the 58X crankshaft sensor. The complete LS2/6L80E, LS7/6L90E custom stand alone wiring harness and computer package sells for $1695.00.
The package includes the following:
A new custom length, stand-alone wiring harness. The harness includes a check engine light, diagnostic connector, fuel pump relay, fuse block, and labeled wires for easy hookup to the battery, ignition switch, and fuel pump. Wires are also included for tach, speed, electric fans, and A/C functions where applicable. These custom stand alone harnesses are built for full function, closed loop control, and designed for non-emissions use (no post-cat O2's, purge canister, or fuel tank evap interface). Our harnesses can be built to your desired length specifications.
The package comes with the factory GM ECM fully programmed for your application including: VATS (vehicle anti-theft system) removal, emissions equipment removal (whatever you don’t need or are not using on your swap such as: catalytic converters, rear O2 sensors, fuel tank pressure, EVAP), torque management removal, etc.
The reprogramming lets your new engine run properly without the “check engine” light being on unless there is a problem with the engine that needs to be addressed.
Since the engines all utilize Electronic Throttle Control (ETC), the electronic accelerator pedal is also included in the package.
As with all Speartech packages our systems can be serviced with any late model diagnostic equipment designed for GM vehicles.
Options available:
Extra length (beyond 4’): $75.00
Emissions package (wiring for rear O2 sensors and charcoal canister control): $50.00
Sensor package (includes correct front O2 sensors and MAF sensor for one-stop shopping): $300.00
Thanks,
John

The gear spacing from 1st to 2nd is steep.
The benefit in the current truck gear ratio arrangement is for people
who off road, with big tires, and drive on the street.
This tranny would allow you to run 31-35" tires, a deep 4:10- 4.56 gear,
and still be able to drive it on the street.
