Default Need Help. Ls7 clutch wont disengage.

I have a LS2 engine in a 86 iroc. I am using the ls7 clutch setup. I have new slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. I have bleed the clutch and still wont disengage. THe pedal still doesnt feel right. I can push the clutch in with the car in gear and the car jumps like the clutch is not pushed in. I am using 4th gen pedals. Any suggestions on what to do.

Chances are the slave still isn't bled enough. Sometimes they can be a real pain. I would suggest using a pressure bleeder.

I am running the same clutch/slave and pedals in my IROC and it works great. Is your slave/master new?

A pressure bleeder is your friend. Look up Motive products, they make a reasonably priced unit. You can get it from Jegs and Summit...

The F-body master cylinder likes to be bled by hooking a vacuum pump to the reservoir (there's even a GM TSB on it). See the Manual Trans forum on here for more info.

this might sound dumb but a GM dealership told me to hook everything up and pump the pedal about 120 times then it would be ready to go. Sure enough it worked. after about 80 pumps the throwout bearing finally started working properly. Maybe give that a shot.
