what size pipe thread is the oil sending unit?

You could always use a metric bolt. Just grab a M16mm x 1.50 bolt, the sender is ~ 2cm long so you would probably have to cut the bolt length down to fit. There needs to be a seal on it, the factory uses a aluminum washer on the sender but you could also use a copper washer (think oil drain plug gasket)

sweet. i ordered 2 (on accident) oil pan covers (located next to the oil filer) i planned on drilling it out and using my autometer sender there.
just like the sticky says to do.
by the way, this is going in a 69 camaro

For my motor I bought an adapter to go from the M16x1.5 to a standard oil sender thread and mounted it in the LS1 location. Seemed simple enough if you have the room.
