4L80E Range switches, remove them?

Can it be done in a stand alone swap or do i need to keep them? I'm working on the harness right now and need some insight. Thanks.

The range switches are internal to the transmission. The box on the side is only for the pn switch and gear shift indicator.

O, well thats what i mean then, can i take them off and de-pin the PCM connector accordingly?

The PCM needs pretty much every wire going to the trans...

The box on the side of the transmission yes. It is the pn switch, back up lights etc. It will function wo it and not effect the transmissions ability to shift.

The other function of the box on the side of the trans is to send signals to the PCM that lights up the the "P R N D L" on the instrument cluster. You won't need any of that for a swap.
