S13, LS1. Pic's!
Here are some pics of our swap, its still a work in progress and should be done soon. All work i done by us here at KASU racing. We built it to be a good drift car. Not sure on the cam specs, but its a agressive Comp Cam., Headwork,Prof. Products 85mm TB, and intake manifold. The engine has been rebuilt etc.
The tranny is a performance built Hi bred M12 6 speed trans in the F body case with hardened shift keys, steel 3/4 fork, bronze slider shoes, and also it is a triple synchro design. It also has a different gear ratio then the standard T56. rpmtransmissions.com
M12 Gear Ratio
1st 2.97
2nd 2.07
3rd 1.43
4th 1.00
5th 0.84
6th 0.56
Reverse 3.28
Ok so here are the pics.
Mounts. Not 100% done yet.

Either one is bad *** in a 240, ultimately, the lsx will have better performance potential all around.

You'll end up paying the same for a 1jz and an LS1. The 1jz is like the JDM god of the mkIII supra guys.
And then when it's time to modify it, the LS1 will obviously destroy a 1jz mod for mod.

looks good, hells yeah bonus points for DIY projects like this.
more pics!
you sure you dont wanna add a rear mount location to that tranny mount? I keep seeing all of these cool designs for the 240sx swaps but none of them seem to incorporate a rear mount to prevent the stressing up an down of the chassis mount locations over time. not a big deal I suppose.
keep up the good work!
oh yeah, I would never do a 1jz unless you had great hookups on parts and tuning for them. the LS1 is so beastly and serviceable and easy to work on, man its a work of art in its simplicity with so much potential.

dude, bang for the buck a 1jz s chassis owns a ls1 s chassis. you can build a 1jz car with 350rwhp for around 6k, while just hte ls1 swap is that much if you do it right on both cars.
