harness power question.

I called wait4me and they said I need 50 amp for the ignition wire. I have one power wire in the engine harness.

So my question is what did you guys that used them run? We are probably gonna run a relay to it.

Please help. Thanks.

In your elky you can run the wire from the hei distributor direct to the harness or use it to trigger a high current relay that pulls directly from the battery

Yeah, so the distributor wire can pull that current? I was gonna just run a relay. Which would be best?

It's straight from the ign switch it can support it. but you are better off using a relay and using the dist wire as the trigger for the relay. But be sure to use a heavy duty gm relay such as one used in a cooling fan application. They are the only ones that will be reliable for an extended period of time and not have problems melting wires etc. Be sure to get the pigtail and solder and heatshrink your wires to the pigtail.
