Post 1967 427 LSX Camaro

I have been working on this project for the last year. I only get to play around with it about 2 weekends out of the month, but it seems to be coming together nicely. The pictures below are a little outdated. Currently, I have a LS1 motor sitting on the frame and I am awaiting the LSX 427 being built by Xtreme Horsepower:

I was originally going with Texas Speed and Performance, but Xtreme Horsepower was a more convenient option:

Currently I have the Trickflow 215cc heads with the Lunati cam. They were originally meant for the LS1, but I picked up the custom Nitrous Outlet FAST 90mm intake from Black2001z06 and have been told not to run that on the LS1 block. That’s fine, I will use it the LS1 on another project. I guess I will see how that setup works with the 427, but I am awaiting the GPP heads to match the block.

I just finished fitting the AirRide 4-link under the car with the Moser 12bolt and custom wheels. I guess it is time to order the custom driveshaft. Everything seems to fit perfectly and I actually have more room in the wheel well than I thought. Originally DSE said their deep tubs would only support a 315 in the 67 Camaro and I am currently running a 325. I was a little upset that I wasn’t able to run the 335’s but I feel more comfortable with those Budnik rims sitting on the EMT run-flats. Looks pretty stout!

I also had added the JEGS coil covers, but they will not work with the S&P front drive system. I found the following valve covers with hidden coils while looking around on LS1tech. They are currently on order.

When the wheather permits, I will be sandblasting and applying etch primer to the car. Then I can start to test fit all of the parts. Can't wait!!!

Updated pics to come in the future.
