Mines less and will be just as nice. But not knockin' it is a very nice truck and for your average person that would have to pay someone to build them a v8 s10 that I think would be a reasonable price. I guarantee that after building mine I would charge not a dime less than 10K to build it for someone else and I'm a mechanic.

dont forget to add in the price of the truck, wheels, paint, etc.
its not a steal at 16K, but if the rest of it are as clean as the ebay pics, then he got a "fair" deal.

It wasnt that I couldnt do it myself. I do research and development on dynos all day and have done two v8 swaps on S-10s before. This is because my wife didnt want me in the garage, so just buying it finished has value also.

No,no I did not mean it that way. That is a very clean truck and well worth what it cost. With the cost of the vehicle factored in the LSX swap done right like that little truck is it gets scary expensive quick. Mine sure has gotten expensive quick. Including the cost of the truck I venture to guess mine is getting close to 10K. It is all of the little stuff after the swap has begun that smashes you in the eyes. I am not even going to add up the receipts I'd scare myself.

It isn't as cheap as you think, I have around $9000 in my s10 blazer 5.3L swap.

5.3 is a third of the price of a 6.0 unit. third less power too.
9000 including the truck, or just parts?

thats what i was thinking. the caliber of cleanliness on that s10, along with the right parts make a outstanding finished product.
were you the builder?
id like to see more of the buildup on the truck.
looks sick.
i like it when they are clean like that. best kind of swap!

Sweet ride. That sounds like a fair price for a nice clean setup with everything working right. Especially if he can keep the wife happy, thats usually worth a couple thousand extra. Hell, if mine had said go spend the money on something thats finished, I might have gone that route. Nice looking truck.

sometimes its easier to nickel and dime it so she dont know you really spent that much on it.

Ahh, no....lol.

I have $200 in the last 3 years that I dont know what it was spent on specifically, although I do know it was used randomly on a trip driving home to Michigan and back. Other than that we(meaning she) know where every dollar we have had has come and gone. Microsoft Money > Me

There is no nickel and diming my wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by the time I retire I will be a millionare, even if I work for $6.00/hr for the next 30 yrs. even if we go from zero to to 10 kids.

making an exxageration. [insert sarcasim]
locally here, a 6.0 pullout will run you 1500-2400 depending on milage and conditions. you can get 5.3's all day long for 800 bucks. so if you take the high and the low, thats a 1/3. 800x3=2400.

everyone knows the torque of a 6.0. a 5.3 just cant match it.
