Default My 68 LS1 truck is finally done!!!

I thought I would never get this thing running. After a lot of hard work and late nights(in between working on the racecar) it's finally done. I can't believe how well this thing runs! I'm still dialing in the calibration. I have it running fairly rich right now just to be safe. Can't wait to see how much better it's going to run.

But here's the run down.
1968 Chevy SWB 2wd
1998 corvette LS1
AEM Ecu and wideband o2 controller
Corvette manifolds and dual 2.5" exhaust
-6 fuel system with bosch external pump
700R4 overdrive and 2000 stall converter

I'll have it on the dyno soon to really dial it in and too see my HP gains. I'll post some pics soon.

Now it's time to save for the next project: 4 wheel disc brakes, drop spindles, new springs and shocks and 17" wheels.

Sweet. Did you fab the motor mounts yourself or did you buy them somewhere? What were your reasons for choosing the 700R4 over the 4l60e (computer control issues I assume)? Any other fitment issues in the truck? Sorry for all of the Q's but I'm working on a 1972 Blazer K5 LS1 Swap.

I took the stock corvette engine mounts and modified them. I took about 1/2 inch of height out of them, 22 degrees out and squared them up. This allowed me to drill two holes in my crossmember and the engine dropped right in.

I had installed the 700r4 before I knew I was going to do the ls1. So I had a lot of money invested in it and it is supposed to handle 650 hp. Plus bowtie overdrives makes a LS1 throttle kickdown conversion for 700R4.

I did have to install a camaro oil pan to clear the x-member. The corvette pan hit the x-member. It looks like it came from the factory with this engine. The fit was good. I didn't do any mods to the engine compartment other then drill two hole in the x-member.
