The starter bolts are 2 lengths, and are "special" in that they are a "body fit" into the starter mounting plate. They are M8x1.25 x length1 and M8x1.25 x length2. You may have to get these at the GM dealer. I think that all of the other accessory mounting bolts are M10x1.5 and there has been a post somewhere on LS1tech that lists many of the bolts needed on the engine. If you can't find it, measure the length of the boss that a bolt goes thru, and add 15mm (minimum) to get the bolt length needed. Bolts are sold in increments of 5mm in the length range you will need (30mm to 60mm under the head), so go a little long ie, use 40mm if you come up with 37mm needed. metric bolts go by "property class" which is similiar to SAE grades. Metric 8.8 bolts are similiar strength-wise to an SAE grade 5. M10 / 8.8 hex heads are plenty strong for the accessories.

yea 8.8 is strong enough and cheap. Anything holding the motor though should be the SAE grade 8 (10.9 metric isnt it?) . My list was made by a guy working at the parts department in a GM dealership. Any bolt size that they had available to them he wrote down for me. Serveral kinds of bolts (starter, intake bolts, etc) they didnt give measurements for.

You're right Steve, I'm 90% positive all accessory bolts were M10x1.5.
