That Champ pan looks an heckuva lot like the pan Autocraft sells. TI think he current Autocraft pan clears the steering fine with ATS & S&P mounts (which have the engine farther forward than the Hooker mounts). The old Autocraft pans (like mine) didn't have "bevelled" corners on the front of the "wings", and can get dinged by the inner tierod ends when the steering linkage flexes (1/4" clearance turning the wheel staticly).

Hmm well i still think im going to go with the moroso pan but with carshop mounts with 1" setback. As far as engine mounts i believe i'm going to use the Poly as suggested. Can you run solid with our aluminum blocks?

I picked up my ls1 engine the other day and I've been looking for the proper engine mounts. I want to retain the stock powerglide (financial reasons). Does anyone know what mounts will work to let me bolt the engine to the transmission without problem?
