Default carbed lsx box question

I have a red box that came for my 6.0 swap, my car is not wanting to start, and i was wondering why everyone else has the black box and they sent me a red one...... It has the right part number on it 6010...

What kind did you order? What year is your engine?

I've seen Edelbrock use the black boxes, and MSD using the red ones. 6010 sounds like an MSD numer too.

6010 is the msd

Edelbrock contracted msd to make their ignition box, so the edelbrock black box is nothing more than a 6010 red box with a different color/label, at least thats what i have been told

If it's an Edelbrock box, my understanding is that Edelbrock only supplies the 24X reluctor wheel box. 6010 is the MSD 24X reluctor wheel box.
The LS364 has a 58X reluctor wheel. Is that the engine you're using?
The 58X reluctor wheel box is 6012, made by MSD.

Is it an LS2 6.0? if so its the wrong box you would need the 6012. Is it an aftermarket crank? Some guys report problems with the msd box syncing with the aftermarket trigger wheel. My 6010 was plug, play and fire.
