Typically an LT1 pump is sufficient to run an LS1 with. You need to put a gauge on it to know for sure if it's your problem. The LS1's run at higher than 41-47 psi. They run at 58 psi.

Sorry, rechecked specs, LT1 runs between 41-47 and LS1 runs 55-60 psi as per GM spec. Typically the LT1 pump should do it but if it is 10 or more pounds less than it should be, it could cause your problem. Really need to put a pressure gauge on it to tell.
