Motor is in...!!!!
Alright the motor is in, though they sent me the wrong sending unit for the fuel tank, but other than that the engine and tranny is installed, I will have to make a K-member for the trans since it is longer than the Th-350, but I should be able to fab something up. Well other than that, waiting for my sending unit here is some pics of the install.

I see Gasser written all over that thing...That's a sweet ride, bud.
Go get yourself a straight axle from a Ford Van and some Mat Black paint - you'll be the talk of the town.
Love it! Keep the pics coming.

Oops, think I misunderstood the question, I already had a 350 in it so I just used your adapter plates to bolt it to the existing 350 motor mounts

Well, ran into a few snags, the harness for the motor was missing too much to be modified so now I have to find one.
My question for this is do I have to find a drive by cable harness or can one off of a DBW motor be modified to fit my application?
Also going to put my tank together, just got my sending unit since they sent me the wrong one the first time

Updates
Alright well got the new tank in and plumbed the fuel system finally
Also got the cooling system hooked up and am working on the tranny cooling lines currently, I got a external trans cooler to help keep the trans a little bit cooler since it is a bigger trans than the th350.
I yanked the PS pump, since the car does not have it and went to the parts store for a smaller belt and rerouted it, seems like it'll work, its pretty solid in there and everything is spinning the right way.
I also fabricated up a K-member for the new trans so now the motor and trans are in there nice and solid.
Dropped the driveshaft off at the shop to get shortened about 1/2 an inch so that should be ready to throw on today or tomorrow
Got my ECM all tuned, now I just need a wiring harness to hook everything up, still gotta find one.
Only a few things left before firing this beast up:
-gotta hook up shift linkage to trans
-wiring harness
-throttle cable (probably get one from Lokar)
-install driveshaft
-and whatever else pops up when those are done

-wiring harness-----Just ordered a painless one, should get here this week
-throttle cable (probably get one from Lokar)------Check
-install driveshaft------Check
-and whatever else pops up when those are done------o2 sensors, need to put 2 of them somewhere, one on each side of the exhaust.

Like the early fifties chevys. It looks like you are moving right along. I am also hoping to possibly get mine fired up this coming weekend as well. Still tidying up a lot of little misc things.

If the signal from your computer has not been adjusted, your tach wil probably read double. If it is an aftermarket tach, you may be able to set it to 4 cylinder and then it should read accurately. Your computer can be adjusted to give the proper signal for an 8 cylinder tach.

Oh, I called wait4meperformance, since they programmed my ECM, and he said that same thing about setting the tach to 4 cylinder and didn't mention anything about programming a different output in the computer.
Here is the tach I have
http://www.sunpro.com/product_catego...29b210b884b27e
Says it works on 4,6, and 8 cylinders so hopefully it will read correctly, if not I'll have to probably send the computer back to wait4me to get setup right, I think.....
I don't see any setting adjustments on the tach though for the different size motors????

Your Sun tach should have a switch on the back to designate the number of cylinders. I have one of the Sun Mini tachs and I think that's how mine was. I remember I set it to 4 cyl originally after reading that was needed, but Speartech reset mine to 8 cyl pulse when he reprogrammed my ECM so I had to switch the tach to 8 cyl.

I have a wire in my GM Perf harness for a tach but since I'm trying to keep the "old car" look to the dash I haven't found the "right" tach to put in there yet. Maybe I can locate on old Sun tach or something else ancient that I can modify.
Let's hear that bad boy run!!

Oscar, there is a pretty good selection of vintage sun tachs on EBay. You might search for Stewart Warner too

Ughh... Another snag
Well, just realized today that the truck 5.3 manifolds are not going to work. Was about to get some flanges made with o2 bungs when I noticed the driver side manifold is right over the frame so there would be no way to hook the exhaust up to it.
The metal in the way I could cut, but beneath that is the frame of the car.
So I was wondering if f-body manifolds fit tighter or if there are any good suggestions for headers, or just any suggestions at all

Cant see if your stearing column is inside or ouside the rail, If it is outside the frame the frames are pretty much the same as mine, I am using Kooks headers for the FBody, if you need any close up better piks I can see what I got or what I can get. You can also check with S&P on there headers for some input. http://www.hotrodlane.cc/ check page 99.
Oh, and I did fire it up Thursday after noon, cant leave it running to long as to no antifreeze in it yet. Primed fuel, spun twice and fired right up. got to like the aspect of some things going right.
