Fuel lines -- Steel to plastic ???

We did not use any flair fittings, only -xAN or Swagelock compresion fittings. Please take a look at the fluid drawing for our system and the parts spreadsheet which you can find here:

This is not the only way to get there from here, but it is what we did, and it works. Do not buy the braided line from the fuel rail down to the frame rail, make that guy yourself. Like Shifty' says, "Braided Line is Stupid Easy to Make!"
. I didn`t even buy the dorman ends, I just cut the steel fuel line of at the yard, then I double flared it and used a union to connect it to regular steel fuel line. That way I had the quick connect ends and plastic fuel lines. I did the same thing on my 4.3L chevette, the GM plastic fuel lines are so easy to work with/quick to connect and to top it off they are dirt cheap at the boneyard. You can also use a compression fitting to join the lines if you don`t have to tools to double flare them.The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
