Default CA conversion help!

Its always sunny here but the laws here suck!

I have a 78 Datsun 280Z and I am putting in a LS1 engine into it (naturally) A problem arises with the smog laws/Engine Swap laws.

The law presently states that when doing an engine swap you have to swap it with an engine same year or newer as the car. OK 78 Datsun 98 LS-1 (covered)

All the smog equipment has to be equiped in the car. (covered)

Anything that will cause a engine light (MIL) to glow has to be connected -OBDII- (covered except one thing) WHEEL SPEED SENSORS!!! Because the original car has traction control the computer needs to know if the wheels have slipped cause of Rough Road. The computer checks this when there is a misfire within the engine. A misfire can come from the EBTCM or an engine malfunction. The Wheel Speed sensors are about impossable to install in the car. The only way i can think that the Referee will pass it is if i connect the EBTCM to the computer and create a signal to the sensor wire. This would show all the wheels rotating at the same time forever. The EBTCM would never send a misfire and the Rough Road condition would be satisfied.

Who thinks that the Referee will buy it???

Would Edit not allow you to convert the PCM to non traction control?

I would not create a "constant speed" when a correct factory setup is attainable, as above. Not sure if a valid VSS signal from the trans. + invalid wheel speed signal would cause issues.

The referee's know what to look for, i tried to stump him but he had his trusty manual and corrected me. Altering the computer is out of the question in this case. Trying to do it by the book, but it seems impossable.

Its not just traction control its the whole abs system. Camaros have wheel sensors no matter if they have TC or not. When i read the service manual last night. The PCM looks for rough road condition in the EBTCM/EBCM if there is a misfire. If there is a malfunction it will send a DTC and luminate the MIL.

I am not sure eather but i dont think VSS has anything to do with the Wheel Speed Sensors. All i could find is that the EBTCM compares the signal comming from all four wheels. It doesnt compare VSS sig with the WSS sig. I do believe it will work, but i also have to fake out the abs. If the ABS is malfunctioning the TC and ABS turn off. I dont know what to do next???!!! HELP!!!

Move to NH (Live Free or DIE!!!) Do not even have to pass a smog test!! In 4 more years I will only need a safety inspection every 2 years! 40 year old vehicle law.
