Have you tried explaining how much projects like this actually cost? Lots of time s our better halves don't quite understand the time and cost investment that projects take.
That being said..my girl used to give me **** all the time until I finished my first project (a nissan 240sx ka-t)...then showed her how to drive stick...then let her drive it. Now she understands why this stuff is so important to me and is getting on my *** to finish my third gen t/a because she wants to drive it.
The other key thing was getting her involved in small parts of the project so it's not just a "me" thing, it's an "us" thing. It's also especially useful when you need a second pair of hands and your buddies are too drunk to drive over and help you.
Anyway, we got your back. Sorry to hear about the money problems.

My problem is the fact that my wife is the one that watches the money so I get mad at her when she says I can't buy something and she knows I am a jerk anyway so she doesn't let it bother her too much. The good thing is that overall we are both pretty cheap(especially her) and big fans of not spending what we don't have so we stay pretty safe.

see you guy's got it all wrong you got high maintence women, my girlfriend know's where we stand with my chevelle and she wants it done so she can go for a ride and not hear me talk about it so freaking much!!! i bought like 480.00 in bolts she came home and said whats that i told her and she replied it's your money,and long as bills are paid i don't care what you spend it on. so less maintence women = actual money to spend on hobby,me happy,less drama list goes on guess each his on.
my wife takes care of the money, but i spend the **** like i own it. whats the worst she can do? leave me? pfftt.
