socket size for oil pressure sensor?

socket size for oil pressure sensor? What is the size of the socket needed to remove the oil pressure sensor at the back of the block, right behind the intake manifold? I do not have the right one and would like to be able to do only one trip to the store!
I had to buy one last week...forgot what size...but
go to parts store, have them pull an oil sender for 01 truck or whatever and then get the socket to fit it....
socket will need to be thin walled, I had hard time getting socket on the sender...other option would be remove the vally cover...thats what the socket was hitting.
