6.0L to th400

Is the TH400 the BOP (Buick-Olds-Pontiac) bolt pattern or Chevy? you'll need the chevy bellhousing to work behind the 6.0L.
You should have a flat flex plate, which will let the torque converter pilot rest inside end of the crank or adaptor when the bolt pads touch the flex plate. This is important for proper alignment of everything.
You may have to drill the flex plate for the smaller pattern on the TH400 converter. If you're TH400 has a heavy duty converter with 6 pads, it may line up with out drilling.
Other then that, TH400 bolts up.
Might try a search..i'm sure there is lots of info about TH400 on Gen III's on this forum.
