6. Torqued to 25 ft.lbs. the RST clutch assembly is now installed and ready for the bellhousing and transmission.
7. A new hydraulic throwout bearing/slave cylinder assembly has been installed on the transmission. The bellhousing was placed to check clearances for the hydraulic line and bleeder. A little bit of filing was required on the transmission to provided sufficient clearance for the stock quick connect fitting. The stock GM bleeder is on the way out and a remote bleeder from LAPD is on the way.
8. The McLeod bellhousing is in place and has been bolted to the engine using (proper) metric bolts picked up from the local bolt supply house. Check the bolts that are delivered with your package, standard thread bolts were supplied as part of the installation kit.
9. With a minimum of fuss the Rockland Standard "Son of Tranzilla" T-56 is installed using an American Touring Specialties T-56 crossmember.
I hope this helps someone, sometime. Be sure to use the proper torque specs and follow the manufacturer's recommendations at all times.

We replaced the stock bleeder assembly with a remote bleeder assembly.
The stock bleeder assembly was a pain to get at and left alot to be desired in terms of efficiency; the remote setup allows for clean and easy bleeding.
we'll fabricate a bracket to hold the bleeder on the transmission.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the bleed valve for? Is it a hydrolic set up for the clutch and if so is the master cylinder inside the actual bell housing and if not, is it for the fliud in the trans itself?

The clutch is a hydrolic set up, also the slave is in the bell housing and the master is mounted usually under the hood. But the bleeder screw is hard to get to because it is almost at the top of the bell housing, so the braided line extends it making the bleed alot faster and easier.

It's been a slow two weeks between holidays and an unfortunate delay at the coaters but I'm back on it now. We got the headers ceramic coated and installed now. I love the headers from this point of view - you never really get to see it and it really gives you an idea how much beef the ATS headers have:
Once we shuffle some things around in the shop we'll drop the body on and, if the center section arrives, we'll have the car on the ground by the end of the week.

June 7 Progress It was a productive week this week, with some major progress on the OLC project.

We mocked up the exhaust one last time to help with the fabrication of the rear diffuser. Once we are done with it it will go out to the coater before final installation.

And for the first time we were able to get the car on the ground on it's own wheels and tires...
well - almost on the ground... the hoist doesn't go low enough so it's on a couple of blocks for now...
