73-77 A-bodies?
They are aluminum block and head! 6.2L. It was intended for 08 Escalades/Denalis. It is new/never ran. From a derailed freight car.
I actually have one left (I purchased a few to get a discount).

Here is a pic of the current Buick 350. Hopefully the L92 will clear w truck accesory drive.

Here are the wheels I'll run temporarily (17x9s-fresh off the Z28) until I get some 17x11s.

I'll try to get some pics and post often when I finally get going.
Plus, I just blew my Buick's budget on an LS1 powered 84 Corvette.
My hope is in another year or two (when my kids are a little older) I'll have the time to thoroughly go through the Buick (body off style).
I think the 315s will clear, the inner wheel wells may need some modification or removal.
Thanks for the kind words on the front end. The grill is two stock grilles put together (about 1 2/3). The lower sheet-metal was hand formed by Greg Reah at Excel Autobody here in Janesville. The under-bite crash absorbing bumper was always the eye-sore of the car IMHO. Plus I probably dropped 100 lbs off the front by ditching it.
Nice to hear about a few more people with the un-loved a-bodies. Just found a few more things for my 75. Anyone wanting some nice adjustable upper control arms, just grab a set for a 78-88 G-body. I got my edelbrocks a few weeks ago and they fit perfect. I'm sure everyone has heard of these guys, but i never knew they made anything for these cars.... http://www.spohn.net/shop/1973-1977-...dy/Suspension/ picking up the lower control arms, sway bars, and coilovers from them while i'm down in PA in October. Other than that i havn't found much for parts. If you need any info on the cars themselves (not so much upgrades) check out www.73-77chevelles.com
But, now I now realize you mean rears. This is great news. I was hoping these, or earlier a-bodies would work. I called a couple companies and they were unsure, but some mentioned the bushing width may be different.
Good find!
Hope you do a build thread. Mine is put off a while. My kids are young, and I just don't get the time in the garage I need for this project. I picked up the vette thinking I could do it much quicker. But so far it just sits also....
