Default hitech motorsport 944 conversion....

This is our 944 conversion we did for a customer, ls-1 turnkey engine, 200r4 trans, custom 3 link rear suspension, ford 8.8 gear limited slip 3.73's renegade headers and radiator....

Looks awsome. Does that rear suspension have a torque arm? It looks like the picture might have been taken before it was put in....

What does the completed car weigh?

Nice work. After all that work... one would think he would have an LS6 intake on it for another 20rwhp.

nice work! and ALOT of sheet metal work to! take it its not a drop in conversion then?? lol

as 93 Polo sayds it would be nice to have a IRS version using scrapyard bits. help keep costs down to!

Renegade Hybrids have been doing these conversions for years and they retain the 951 transaxle/torque tube assembly. Though this 8.8 conversion is a viable alternative to the expensive and weak Porsche hardware.

Brian, I have a local friend who has a friend who wants to do the exact same build, already has the car and some of the conversion parts, might be Renegade parts if they are out of LV. How much might you charge labor to pull the stock driveline, drop in the new stuff, and get it basically running? Not including parts. PM me if you want to talk offline.

how about using a 911 box out the back??

That would require way too much fabrication and wont be worth it. The 911 gear box is totally different to a 951 gearbox.
