I'm doing a 4.8L/4L60E swap right now. I am using TransDapt 4592 motor mount adapters. Use the stock frame mounts and stock motor "clamshells". The truck pan hangs way too low. I've got the CTS-V pan on order now will let you know next week how it fits. I'm documenting my swap at my website. You can check it out here: http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=34
Do a search for g-body or gbody on here, it will give you some good threads.
Good luck,

your original tranny wont bolt up to the ls1 without an adapterplate... and why on earth hot use an A4 that works with the ls1?? ... to avoid shortening the driveshaft??
im installing a 2002 ls1/a4 in my 79 bu.. ill be makung mu own mounts from a butchered f-body mount and a pair of steelplates...
if you use the f.body pan, its a choice of stock SBC location (which you dont need as you dont run a distributor) in which case you either have to trim the "k-member" or pan... or setting th eengine far enough back to clear the frame/k-member.. and having to fibreglass a "dent" in the heaterbox / running relocated coils
spohn also has mounts btw!

also check tle LSX forum on www.maliburacing.com lots of info
