Reverse lights stuck ON-4L60E
Reverse lights stuck ON-4L60E I just bought a 72' vette and one of the electrical issues is that the reverse lights remain on regardless of what gear Im in. It has a 4L60E, any insight on how I could fix this...other than taking the bulbs out?

It would depend on where your neutral safety/back up light switch is. Should be either on the shifter under console or on the steering column. Unless someone has put a range switch on the trans, but I wouldn't think so. You would have to check.
Pulled the console found no neutral/safety switch and for good reason. Original builder finally called back and he didnt install one. He was using the reverse lights as regualr brake lights to make 4 total. The next guy didnt know this and put reverse lights on with clear bulbs and thats what confused the hell out of me.
How hard would it be to put the neutral switch on, anybody done this and have pictures? If not Im just going to make it brake lights again lol.

I found this but not sure how to mount it exactly, using the search I read to mount it on the shifter but not sure how?? Also unsure how to wire it up.
