Default Edelbrock harness/cam sensor question

Upon installing the harness for my carbed motor, I ran into a problem. Everything plugged in just fine untill i got to the cam sensor. The notch on the plug is on the wrong side, keeping it from plugging into the senor. Am i missing a harness that goes between them or something? Reason i ask is because the plug barely reaches the sensor, and honestly i think it will interfere with the carb linkage as it is now.

i think you are plugging the wrong connector to the cam sensor, or you have the box mounted in the wrong direction, the main harness out of the box should come out to the passenger side of the engine

there is no harness that is close to the carb linkage if routed correctly

the box should mount on the intake, the main harness routes over to the pass side, 1 connector goes to the map sensor, 1 goes back along the pass side intake to the cam sensor, and 1 goes along the pass side intake and behind the pass cyl head and down to the crank sensor

then just the 2 coil harness connectors

Thats how I have it run, the crank sensor even says 'crank' on it so i know its the right plug.

im pulling it pretty good to get it this close to the sensor

the harness needs to be run way up high to be remotely close to the sensor.

also why do you have paper style intake gaskets on the engine, that intake does not use flat gaskets gaskets, there are o-rings in the intake,,

alright, well that makes sense...but i do have another question then lol. The map sensor you sent with the harness was plugged into the cam sensor plug...which has the notch on the wrong side for the map sensor plug on the harness. I had the factory sensor and i just tried it and it fit so it will work, im just wondering how you were using it like that?

Thanks for the help though, it would have taken me quite a while to figure it out.

they were all torn up, i took em out. I know a couple people doing this, works fine, if it leaks i'll take em out and put the rubbers back in. Not a big deal.
