hopefully this time,there wont be a *** load of haters with nothing constructive to contribute. I caught on to your last build about half way through on hondatech, all i can say is some people really need to get a life... anyway good luck on your project man.

people have done the swap before, but there isnt any specialists i dont think, there big into 2jz swappin them...either way heres whats going to happen here.

1. s2000 will get swapped

definetly an awsome swap, ive driven a stock s2k my cowworker owns, i love how it handles it just doesnt have any *****. Any idea the weight diff between the I4 and the ls2?

i have a mock up alloy block with the cylinder bores gutted,
just couldnt throw it away after the rod tried to escape on a 7k rpm shift

This should be a cool thread. The civette was cool. I like how you stuck with it, even after all the bull **** people were saying. Good luck. I hope this one turns out cleaner then the civic.

Do you already have an idea how to incoperate the CAN Bus System of the S2000 to use the speedo, tach, AC and other stuff?

As I understand it there would be the need for something like a CAN Bus Translator that translates the digital and analog signals that you can get from the LSx harness to the CAN Bus Signals from the Honda Harness. Or something that translates the stuff from the OBD2 port of the LSx engine.

This sounds like the most difficult part of this swap. If its just a race/weekend car I'de use a painless wiring harness and be done with it.

Thats probably not worth the hassle. Just put in a set of aftermarket gauges and be done with it.

Its not just this as I know the car has electronic brake force distribution, the abs and all that stuff is hooked together on those modern cars so I think there will be quite some havoc without the proper signals there.
