Default v6 to ls1 swap

I am dropping a 2002 ls1 and 4l60e into my 95 v6. Will the stock tranny mount from the 02 work on my 95? I read somewhere it wouldn't work, so if not, where can I get one that does?

thanks

you are going to need your old v6 mount if your v6 was an auto,, and strech the hole down aways just take a drill bit and make the mount hole longer..... the 02 one wont bolt up... thats what I did with mine and it's free..

No I dont think the 02 will bolt up... you might need to see... The 00' tranny mount wouldn't even bolt up to the frame of my car... Its one of those things that you will do or fabracate when you get to that point of the build...

The v6 to LS swap has been done a lot. Surely you can find something by searching.

just my opinion but, why not just build the v6, you can get more power than any sane person would want. Although I dont know how sane you are

Id like to go this route with the girls car, anyone know where to get rebuild kits for the 3.8? I looked on ebay and online, couldnt find anything worth a ****. Or even a forum that deals with building it for performance.

I am sure any shop that builds motors can build your v6.

so does this mean I need a v6 tranny mount from an lt1 style body, or will 98 -
02 also work as long as it is from a 4l60e?

thanks

No you will need a lt1 4l60e crossmember and you will have to modify it. Thats what I did and many others that have done this swap did it as well. The 98-02 crossmember is worthless for this swap
