Are there any tcs that aren't as thick?

Thanks, well thats a bummer...hate to shell out another 400bux.

So i need to either buy one of those tcs, swap the crank, or get an 80e? Are there any other alternatives?

Talked to Art, $408 shipped to my house. Which isnt bad but...

Has anyone tried to use a different stock converter? Like an Lt1 or Gen2 SBC converter. Theres gotta be a less expensive fix.

Any one have any side by side comparrisons with TCs and fitment on the 99' lq4s with ls1 4l60es?

LQ4's always had a 4L80E for autos so yes it will have the flat flexplate with the adapter. Lucky for you the 07 was removable, so unbolt the flexplate and the adapter should come off with it. Bolt your 4L60E dished flex plate directly to the crank using the shorter style bolts
