Default First Mock-up of carb manifold w/TBI..6.0L

This is my first mock-up. I think it will all work out ok and the Cadillac early air cleaner will look correct in my '35 Ford. The MAF will be stacked on top of the throttle body.....I don't have a MAF to mock up right now,the only one I have at the moment is one that was blown apart by a little too much boost (courtesy of Vortech).

Will the MAF have enough room between the opening and the top of the air cleaner ?.. maybe not the best performing, would be better with the air flow going at a straighter line of flow, but should look good.

The air filter will sit a little higher than you see there, I will make sure it's not restricted. I figure that some times you need to make small compromises but the performance should be acceptable.

Isn't the maf supposed to be 4"-6" before the tb for proper metering?

Having the MAF so close to the T/B may not be best for preformance.. but it will work.. you can see S&P markets modified ones in there Catalogs..to attached directly to the T/B using the 3 and 5 pin MAF and Air Cleaners directly on the front of the MAF.

If you have the hood clearance maybe it wouldn't be too hard to raise the breather up a little and build a short elbow inside it to move the maf a little further up stream. It will work either for sure, but I am probably just thinking max output so don't pay much attention to me.

My old car has enough room to put a 6/71 blower under there and not touch.....that is not a problem.

I think if you can do that it make make it easier to put a more crisp tune in it. Sweet car by the way.
