Default has anyone EVER seen an LS1 swapped into a mopar???

I really just wanted to see if it has even been done. ive been searching the net and cant find a thing. ive seen LS1s in just about everything else, even a volvo. its almost like theres an unwritten rule somewhere that says youll go to hell if you try it, I cant even find anybody talking about it, except on here a few times and even then nobody could provide any info. has anyone ever done it?? got links??

Friends don't let friends drive Fords! I'm not sure bout Mopars. Those LS volvos really rip. Every time I do a burnout people look everywhere but at the Volvo...Really!

That's because you DO go to hell if you do that... I know, I'm probably a purist, but I'd much rather see a new-style Hemi going into a classic Mopar than an LSx engine...

A new hemi is a nice concept, but its not very budget friendly. a hemi swap would probably cost about 3 times more than an ls1 swap, just a guesstimate, but I know it would definitely be a bit more expensive. also ls1s make easy power relatively cheap, a hemi does not.

I had a 95 dodge ram I bought new. Decent truck. I bought Mopar performance heads and cam to swap in. Cost me a friggin arm and leg. I could have swapped in a whole SBC cheaper! Really.

Ive definitely given thought to dropping one into my 66 Barracuda.

But really, its the same process as dropping one into pretty much anything.

I saw an LS1 in a 57 or 58 Plymouth last year in Tulsa, I think it was a 4 door if I remember right. I've got a picture of it somewhere but can't seem to find it.

My Mopar buddy is putting a new style Hemi in an 65 Sport Fury. Looks to be a lot of work. Tryed to talk him into doing an LS engine. He almost got mad at me for suggesting it.

oh man, those Mopar guys are more "purists" than either Chevy OR Ford guys. I know from experience.

I had thought about doing a turbo 6.0 in a 98ish dakota as ive always like them and its more underhood space then a s10/sonoma.

psst... Jeep's have been made by Mopar since 1987, and there's a ton of LSx powered Wranglers on here.

I had also thought a lsx prowler would be pretty sweet, never could find if anybody did one.

If I was rich I would go buy an srt8 challenger and drop an ls7 in it.Then it would be perfect.

I know a guy who was thinking about getting a '68 Charger and putting a ProCharged LQ9 in it. Don't know if it'll ever happen though.
