Hi all,
New to this site and still trying to get a handle on things. I'm look'n to build an 04 LQ4 block just like they did in Carcraft magazine=550hp. So far i've got the block and just bought a pair of #0821 L92heads. Was wondering which head bolts and push rods I should buy in this application?. Please feel free to drop a note anytime. Welcome any help I can get. Thanks ah-lah!.

If you're having issues with it feeling sluggish down low I'd venture to say not enough stall. That 850 is actually on the small side, I'd be thinking of a 950 for an all out track carb. A 750 would be a restriction at the track in comparison. That 850 with only 2 barrels isn't flowing that much air to have a lazy response IMO. More in the tuning of the carb, grab a wideband and go from there.

you really cant beat the power from the 6.0 L92 combo,, i sold this s-10 to build my new stroker LS3 engine for my new 2010 camaro, i never got to run it at the track after i put the predator carb on it, but the new owner from indiana did call me after he ran it. it went 10.54 and he got asked to slow it down or come back when he got a cage in it, i would recomend a predator carb to anyone building a street/track carbed vehicle!
